Make Noise Crowd Hype

Bold, loud and impossible to ignore!

"I was brought on by a local high school to develop a series of high-impact Jumbotron animations for their home football games. The first piece in the package was a “Make Noise!” hype prompt — something bold, loud, and impossible to ignore once it lit up the stadium boards."

Creative Approach

I wanted this animation to feel larger than life, almost like a music-festival stage dropped into the middle of a sports arena. I filled the scene with oversized speaker stacks, bright concert-style lighting, and a sweeping LED ribbon wall blasting the text MAKE NOISE! The goal was to instantly energize the crowd with a graphic that visually felt as loud as the stadium itself.

3D Production & Animation

Everything in the scene was built and animated in Cinema4D, using its MoGraph toolset to quickly replicate, arrange, and animate dozens of speaker models. I leaned on C4D’s flexible rigging and cloning workflow to create a dynamic sense of movement and rhythm in the environment.

Rendering with Redshift

I rendered the final piece using Redshift, taking full advantage of its real-time feedback and physical lighting tools to dial in vivid warm-pink lighting, glossy surfaces, and volumetric atmospheric effects. Redshift’s GPU speed allowed me to iterate rapidly while maintaining a broadcast-quality look.

Compositing & Finishing

Once the render layers were complete, I brought everything into Adobe After Effects for color finishing, glow treatments, and subtle visual-effects passes to give it that final punch. The AOVs from Redshift made it easy to control lighting, depth, and reflections independently for maximum flexibility.

This piece became one of the primary crowd-interaction elements used throughout the season — a perfect example of blending bold design with production-ready 3D animation.
